How did I get here?

I learned the hard way

For years, I found myself caught in the relentless grip of hustle culture. As a dedicated preschool director, I poured my heart and soul into my work, often to the detriment of my own well-being. Long, grueling hours became the norm, and I ended every year with unused vacation time, a testament to my neglect of work-life balance.

The weight of this lifestyle was taking a toll on me. Burnout and a constant sense of overwhelm left me feeling like I was drowning in responsibilities. My mental and emotional health were suffering immensely. To make things worse, I didn’t know how to express what I was feeling. After all, most everyone around me lived a similar lifestyle, so I felt pressure to do the same.

...and continued like this! Until...

I paused for some deep reflection and realized that my current lifestyle wasn't fulfilling. I was unhappy and had no time for the things that brought me joy. It was difficult to give my all to work and leave nothing for my family. Despite working hard, I still felt like something was missing. I knew I couldn't continue down this path; it was unsustainable and affecting my well-being.


I made a commitment to change. Seeking support and guidance from both professionals and loved ones, I took control of my life. Initially, the changes I made were small and didn't seem significant. However, over time, they proved to be life-altering, and I'm glad I made the decision to prioritize my well-being over work.

it started to come together

It didn't take long for the people in my circle to notice the changes I was making. My employees began to comment on my improved mood and lower stress levels, and I started tackling difficult situations differently. Although nothing had altered with my job, I was evolving personally. Consequently, I began to show up better in all areas of my life. As I focused on cleaning up my personal life, I started attracting new opportunities that brought peace, joy, and passion. Along with my mindset, I also improved my nutrition and my exercise and became the healthiest I’d ever been. All aspects of health and wellness were finally coming into harmony.

I saw an opportunity to help others

There had to be others stuck as I had been

I knew I wanted to help other women who found themselves caught in the hustle culture cycle. I knew that I wanted to teach health and wellness but not just nutrition and exercise. I wanted to teach the power of holistic wellness… what we can experience when we focus on physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health all together.

I pursued my health coaching certification, registered for care with a functional medicine doctor, and began to explore how my body and mind were connected. With this newfound knowledge and the continued guidance I’ve received from my own mentors, I developed my coaching program and joined a functional medicine practice, where I assist numerous clients with their wellness journeys. Now, I am able to live my passion every day, and I'm amazed and grateful at how far I've come.
